Sleep Better Babies does not suggest the "cry it out" extinction method of sleep training. You do not need to hire a sleep coach to tell you to put your child in the crib and leave them there until morning without intervention.
While we acknowledge that some crying is a natural form of protest as children adjust to new sleep habits, our approach centers on teaching independent sleep skills through various supportive and responsive methods. We prioritize parent-present techniques and tailor sleep plans to each family's unique needs and parenting styles. The focus is on empowering children to self-soothe while providing reassurance and minimizing crying as much as possible.

While formal sleep training does not begin until 12lbs or 4 months with Pediatrician clearance, you can absolutely begin laying the groundwork for healthy sleep habits right from the start.

It's absolutely possible to implement sleep training while breastfeeding. Sleep training focuses on teaching your child to fall asleep independently. While breastfeeding may necessitate some modifications to the sleep training approach, it doesn't prevent successful sleep training. The process involves breaking the connection between feeding and falling asleep, and encouraging full daytime feedings to support longer stretches of sleep overnight.
